This weeks question is:
Q: I have a curvy shape and over the last few years have gained a little weight, which has made me feel very uncomfortable with the size of my arms. I find it difficult to know what tops, dresses, sleeves to wear, that don't make me feel that I am wearing something way to tight. Any suggestions on what sleeves would be the best fit for me?
A: Yes! Three quarter sleeves are probably the best way to go. They guide the eye to the exposed forearm, skipping over larger upper arms. I would avoid cap sleeves, any sleeve with an elastic in it which will just cut the arm off and draw attention to that one area. Also think of dresses or tops with a lace 3/4 sleeve or a flutter sleeve, which also conceals that top area of the arm. Adding a little jacket, bolero etc. does not only hide the upper arm but can also add a little flair to your outfit!
