This weeks question is:
Q: I am a home day care provider and take care of children aged from 0-6 years old. I always struggle in the mornings deciding what to wear and always end up in the same old yoga/sweatpants and top. I need my outfits to be comfortable and practical but that also make me feel put together and more like a business owner. I would really appreciate some ideas.
A: I think it easy for us all to slip into wearing the same thing everyday and with you being so busy with lots of children under 6, I can totally understand why sweatpants are the daily go to! I think you need to start by doing a little Spring re-fresh in your closet and get a few systems into place. Set aside some time and organize everything into sections by style i.e. tops, jackets, pants etc.. You will probably be amazed at the things you find and still love. If something does not fit you or you have not worn it in years, look at giving some to charity or take it to consignment. You will then be able to see what you have and what you are missing from your wardrobe. Having basic pieces in your closet that you can mix and match is going to help you put together outfits quickly. A quality medium rise denim with stretch will help you get out of sweatpants mode and leggings, sweaters, denim shirt, t-shirts, cardis, tunic tops should all be staples. Add a great pair of ballet flats, converse and jewelry and you should start to feel a little more put together! My other tip is, plan your outfit the night before, so all you have to do is dress and wait for all those cuties to arrive! :)
Here are a few ideas to give you a little inspiration!
