Tis the season to be festive and I know, we are all, oh so busy but take a few mins for YOU - it's Style Fleur Q & A Style Friday!
Thanks for all the style questions ladies, keep them coming in! You can submit your message via email, text, tweet me @thestylefleur or ask in the comments below. I will try to get to one or two every week!
This week’s question is:
Q: Can you wear Black and Navy or Brown and Black together?
A: YES, even though you may have heard NO over and over again. It is just an antiquated fashion rule that is made to be broken. Black and Navy, Black and Brown, Navy and Brown, Cream and White; it all works together if you follow a few simple steps.
- to keep the colours from blending together and looking a bit blah, try to combine different textures together, brocade and cotton, silk and wool, velvet and cashmere, leather and denim etc. This will give a little edge to your look.
- neutrals do work well together, so if you are one for being subtle, just layer them next to each other for a more refined look.
- add a scarf, bag or shoe that combines all the colour hues, which will bring the entire outfit together.
Here are a few visual outfit ideas to give you a head start! Why not try it for yourself? Shop your own closet and go create a new outfit today! :)
